IT Sales and Solutions Manager (Solutions Architect)

Overview

Linkage is a woman owned tech company that has developed a proprietary cloud-based digital platform to make it easy for corporates to drive supplier diversity  through provision of development support, procurement and funding opportunities.

We are looking for an experienced IT Sales and Solutions Manager to help grow our Cloud Practice, to provide comprehensive assessments, training and enablement programmes focusing on helping SMMEs to build successful and profitable Cloud Businesses

Requirements / Experience

  • 2 to 3 years’ working experience as a Solutions Architect in the technology industry.
  • Direct experience in selling IT / Cloud solutions;
  • Possesses both sales and technical experience to drive engagement between clients, program managers, IT architects and software developers;
  • Track record of developing sustainable new business, by positioning and selling technology to new clients;
  • People management, team orientation, ability to network and establish good connections through all business levels.
  • Ability to think clearly, pro-actively and act decisively in crises, sense of urgency, high organizing and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong skills in client engagement, meeting facilitation and client presentations;
  • Technology consulting experience;
  • Comfortable with conflict resolution and mediation;
  • Deep knowledge of service delivery in the technology industry;
  • Good understanding and appreciation of technical design and business principles
  • A self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue and other performance targets.
  • A passion for learning and development, guiding others to build both business and technical skills;
  • A passion for guiding delivery of both small- and large-scale projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • BSc Degree in Computer Science, software engineering or with a strong IT background.

Bonus

  • Familiarity working with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.);
  • AWS Certification.

Expectations

  • To drive sales with a targeted cloud-solution-focused client engagement approach;
  • To manage the skills, processes and technology that bring all the client information together that incorporates lead generation, sales and client service;
  • To build targeted, data-driven marketing campaigns that reach clients and generate demand;
  • To articulate the value of our Cloud solution/s and manage the activities required to deliver compliant, compelling, and complete responses to RFx;
  • To enable clients to build their Cloud computing competencies;
  • To support and guide clients to migrate workloads to the Cloud.
